WESTMINSTER COUNCIL CHIEF EXECUTIVE (2 February 1995)
Motion Details
That this House is astounded by the response to the latest allegations of malpractice at Westminster City Council of Chief Executive Bill Roots, as reported in The Guardian newspaper, in which his priorities appear to be establishing the source of the leak which led to the reports, rather than taking any action to rid the council of the corruption which permeates it; and believe this glimpse into the workings of the highest levels of the council lends still more support to calls for an Extraordinary Audit into affairs at Westminster City Council.
