PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
ACCESS FOR SCHOOLS TO THE INFORMATION SUPER HIGHWAY (15 March 1995)

Motion Details

That this House welcomes the recent commitment by the Cable Communications Association that every school passed by the network will be offered a standard link-up free of charge; notes, however, that no commitment has been given by the Association that every school in franchised areas will be passed by their network and that without such a commitment of ensuring universal access to the broadband infra-structure, those schools without such access will be severely disadvantaged in the future; and therefore urges the Cable Communications Association to give that commitment to this House.
