PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
EUROPEAN REGULATIONS ON FARM SAVED SEEDS (1 May 1995)

Motion Details

That this House objects to the European Regulations on Farm Saved Seeds, which will cause grave damage to agricultural contractors and farmers in the United Kingdom as respects the level of remuneration they can expect, the legal confusion involved, the burden of bureaucracy which they will impose on farmers and processors and the lack of competition they will create; and calls on Her Majesty's Government to reopen negotiations on these unworkable regulations before they are fully implemented.
