Speaker’s Statement - 9 September 2026 (Commons/Commons Chamber)

Before we begin, I note that a greater than usual number of questions to the Minister for Women and Equalities have been transferred to other Departments. Transfers are, of course, a matter for the Minister, but I gently urge her to clarify any changes in cross-departmental responsibilities and to always ensure that Members affected by any transfers are properly notified.
