Aberdeen North is located in the northeast of Scotland. It covers the northern part of the city of Aberdeen, which is Scotland's third-largest city.

Historical Context

The Aberdeen North constituency was created in 1885 as a result of the Redistribution of Seats Act. Prior to this, the city of Aberdeen was represented by multiple constituencies in the House of Commons.

Political Representation

While the constituency has historically elected Labour, Conservative, and Liberal Democrat MPs, the Scottish National Party (SNP) has gained prominence in recent years.
