Gilgal and its continuation Mitton Street used to have quite a number of shops with traditional shop fronts like this. But today almost all have reverted to residential use and the shopfronts have gone. This leaves just 35 Mitton Street with a traditional shop front. Trading in this area isn't helped by being on part of Stourport's one-way system which makes walking round here a stressful experience. Note the external staircase on this building leading to the first floor.
