A large stone overlooking the town of Hawick and placed here by the Hawick Archaeological Society on 25th March 2000. A granite plaque on the stone reads:- LOOK BACK ON BONNIE TEVIOTSIDE AND HAWICK AMONG THE HILLS HAWICK ARCHAEOLOGICAL SOCIETY 25TH MARCH 2000 The seat to the left was also positioned by the same society and has a plaque that reads:- THIS SEAT WAS PLACED HERE BY HAWICK ARCHAEOLOGICAL SOCIETY IN MEMORY OF FRANK T SCOTT J.P. 1940-2001
