The church of St Ludgvan and St Paul has a history going back to the 14th century, though the building itself is mainly 15th century. Dr William Borlase, the famous antiquarian of Pendeen, was the vicar of Ludgvan in the early 18th century. The road south from the church is Eglos (church) road leading to Eglos farm.
