The A2037 which links Upper Beeding to Henfield. It is also the road from Upper to Lower Beeding and therefore has a much older history than the turnpike it later became. The cones are for roadworks which were blocking one lane of the carriageway. The turning on the right is Hillside Lane whilst that on that on the left is the service road for the landfill site.
