This United Reformed church is on the corner of Winchester Road and Luccombe Road. Isaac Watts was born in Southampton in 1674 and was the first prolific and popular English hymn-writer, credited with some 750 hymns. The modern church (with metal spire) stands on the site of a mid-19th century Congregational Hall which was called the Dr Watts Memorial Hall.
