Were it not for the wall-painted avdertisement for Carreras' Black Cat Cigarettes I doubt if I would have photographed this view. Two observations about this advert are firstly that Carreras, or whoever was responsible for the sign, must have thought that the price of 6d for 10 extra large cigarettes was not going to change in the then foreseeable future, and secondly that the brickwork at the top of the building, which presumably said Black Cat above the word cigarettes, has been rebuilt at some time.
