This metal memorial to the victims of a wartime bomber accident is on a large stone at the lane junction shown in Image The inscription reads: "AT 11-48 PM 24-8-1943 / WHILST ON ANTI-SUBMARINE PATROL / A WELLINGTON BOMBER CRASHED NEAR / THIS STONE.
