The new CCGT power station under construction at Marchwood Industrial Park on the shore of the River Test. The project should be complete by summer 2009, when it will supply 842MW of power to the national grid. It is being built on the site of the former Marchwood power station, alongside the dome of the Marchwood incinerator. The upgraded underground gas pipeline to the site runs over 23 km north to the national network at Lockerley.
