A map from about 1970 marks the road to here as Destructor Road. Nowadays things are, or at least try to be, "greener"; the road is called Everest Road and the refuse destructor site is now the Everest Road Household Waste Recycling Centre. In the background, Ryanair flight FR925 to Dublin is about to take off.
