Still recognisable as a former shop, it ceased trading on 9 October 1996. The ground floor window at this end used to be the shop entrance – there is evidence that the brickwork below is newer than the rest of the building. The post office was revived in a nearby cottage a couple of months later, but that stopped in 2004.
