Just when you were thinking that this square was utterly dreary, you find Lousehill Copse. Unlike some local authorities, Reading didn't flatten everything in sight to built its overspill housing. Many pockets of woodland were left behind and managed for recreation. It's one of Reading's hidden secrets.
