This is the B6118. There were unemployment relief works in 1827 to improve the gradient of Badger Hill (part of the Elland-Dewsbury Turnpike). These presumably included constructing the retaining wall next to the cricket ground on the right and the cutting towards the top of the hill. Badger Hill Mills were on the left.
