47458 departs Chesterfield towards Sheffield - the famous twisted spire is visible on the right. This is almost certainly a cross-country service to Newcastle. The early morning sun lights the cab highlighting the driver and secondman. There is a third person standing in the cab, possibly an inspector or a member of railway staff hitching a lift.
