Urgent repairs being carried out on the spires of Truro Cathedral. Although only 100 years old, the stone was being badly eroded by the salt air and was in a dangerous condition. The blue plastic shrouding caught the December sunlight and gave the temporary illusion of a couple of elegant glass & concrete skyscrapers. The little cloud of smoke emanating from one of them is, however, completely harmless.
