What is the origin of this curious name? There is another farm with a similar name near Cornsay in County Durham Image One theory put forward by Paddy Mendez is that it is a corruption of the Celtic name Cille Comman, where Cille means a church and Comman is a 7th century Irish saint. Alternatively Comman may be a reference to solar worship. And there is a Clickimin in Lerwick, Shetland Image This name may be of Norse origin.
