In 2007 the road junction was re engineered with a roundabout being replaced by a light controlled junction. As a result getting onto Milton Road from the new A1 is easier, but going from the A1 to the Sir Harry Lauder Road to Leith usually involves some queuing. The red sign refers to a similar project at a roundabout in Seafield.
