This stone seat occupies an island at the junction of Image and the A3090. It lists the regiments and their commanding officers who marched from Hursley Park to embark for France in 1914, and includes the words "To commemorate the assembling in Hursley Park in September and October 1914 and the marching through this gate on 4th November of the 8th Division (Major General F J Davies Commanding) to embark for France". The seat has recently been cleaned by IBM Hursley.
