Built in the mid 1970s to provide the town with a main shopping area. Prior to this shops straggled along the South Coast Road at intermittent intervals. The shopping centre itself encompasses everything that was wrong with the development of the town, the focal point being built after the residential areas had been planned. This view looks east.
