The first lock on the Wey Navigation, used in conjunction with the stop lock below the bridge to provide enough depth of water over the bottom cill. This is also the point where you pay for a licence to cruise on the navigation, the price varying upon size of boat and length of stay. You also have to buy a specific sized windlass to operate the locks of the navigation.
