Medieval Coffin unearthed in Huntingdon cemetery

Huntingdon Cemetery was laid out in 1854 on the site of Huntingdon Priory (c1108-1538). This coffin (which matches one in St. Mary's churchyard) was probably made for a Prior or a well to do layperson buried within the precincts during the early medieval period.
