Bengeo: The Hertfordshire Way

The Hertfordshire Way passes here through one of the arches of the set of bridges and viaducts that take the railway between Hertford and Stevenage over the valley of the River Beane. The old wheels on the right operate a sluice on an offtake from the River Beane that is part of the water supply infrastructure for Hertford.
