Newbold Comyn Farm Barn

This large barn is part of the Newbold Comyn farm complex. During WWII it was equipped and used as a "shadow factory" to insure against bomb damage to factories elsewhere in the town and the surrounding area. These days it is used to store machinery for maintaining the adjacent public golf course. Three years ago some faulty equipment caused a fire which destroyed the roof and damaged some of the building. As can be seen it has now been restored.
