Postbox number BH21 131 has recently had a new lick of paint, perhaps suggesting that these rural boxes will not follow in the footsteps of phone boxes being removed in large numbers. The telegraph pole is set into a small bank alongside the road, so the box is at a suitable height and not on the ground, as it appears.
