These recovery trucks are parked on an incomplete spur of the Kingston Bridge in readiness for clearing any breakdowns that might occur during the roadworks. The spur was built at the same time as the bridge (early 1970s) and will lead to the M74 which is currently under construction in the south side of Glasgow. The site being cleared in the foreground is between Scotland Street and West Street.
