This gravestone in the extreme NW corner was designed by the celebrated architect Charles Rennie Mackintosh,(1868-1928). Whilst it does not personally appeal the book,'The Buildings of Fife', waxes lyrical,"Designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh,c.1905 & executed by McGilvray- A flattened cross of Dullatur sandstone enclosing an elongated oval, its top carved with a dove floating above the inscription panel, its copper panel plate a replacement of c.1950."
