A41 Otterspool Way near Watford

The A41 originally ran through the centre of Watford. This road was built as a bypass around Watford in about 1930 as North West Avenue, and became the A5088, then the A500. This section across the valley of the River Colne has also been known as North Western Aveenue and Colne Way.
