Looking along York Road. The building on the immediate left is the Green Hammerton Reading Room - a community hall run by the Green Hammerton Recreational Charity which also runs the village playing fields. There are plans to demolish the Reading Room and replace it with a modern facility in a different location. Further along the street the post office on the left and the Bay Horse on the right can be seen.
