The original The Glenlivet Distillery is just to the left of the cottage, and marked by a small monument. The Tomintoul Branch of the Speyside Way passes beside the site of the cottage. The cottage has been demolished and the site landscaped in 2015. The cottage was deteriorating, but reputedly, the stone recovered from the cottage is being reused for a new bridge over a pond at the adjacent distillery, as part of the distillery extension.
