Doddershall Wood is a close-packed mature broadleaved wood, predominantly of oak, and together with Grendon Wood which adjoins it to the north, is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), see Image Looking south, this is the end of one of about five rides in the wood. A gate that leads onto farmland and the nearby public footpath to Grendon Underwood, can be seen in the distance. To the left is a metal observation platform, which is alongside another ride going east.
