Clincton Wood is a little known Local Nature Reserve of 1.2 hectares of mature woodland, 8.6 ha of more recent tree planting and scrub, 1.3 ha of grassland with footpaths and five ponds. The site, although just alongside the link road at Ditton, is notable for a number of bird species and is also a butterfly and dragonfly hot spot.
