Our walk took us through the gardens of a bungalow that is now called 'Kontiki'. 'This was the site of the former Dawsons Mill which is thought to have been the corn mill for the Manor of Roughbirchworth.' (Oxspring Heritage Group) On the mill pond approximately twenty five fledgling mallards were all thriving.
