This statue of the heroes in Robert Louis Stevenson's novel, "Kidnapped" by the sculptor Sandy Stoddart, stands on the N side of Corstorphine Road near 'Rest and Be Thankful' where they parted at the end of the novel. Alan Breck is based on a historical character and novel set around real events'
