This Tuffnells Express Parcels depot in Royton Oldham was opened in 2001 and serves the Greater Manchester and West Yorkshire area. Tuffnells Parcels Express is the longest established express parcels carrier in the UK. It all began when Harold Tuffnell first started in business in 1914 with a horse, a cart and a few customers scattered across South Yorkshire. Today this is just one of the 32 depots that Tuffnells have located throughout the UK http://www.tuffnells.co.uk/index.asp The chimney to the right is that of the Lion Mill which was a location used during the filming of the series "Life on Mars.
