At its junction with Whitcombe Road, left, which leads to Evershot and Maiden Newton. The building, centre, houses the town’s Masonic Hall and could conceivably have been a mill at one time – a watercourse, probably a leat, runs on the far side of the road and the half-hipped roofs are sometimes associated with watermills
