The traditional German Christmas market in New Street and Victoria Square is now an annual event in the Birmingham calendar. This is actually a branch of the Frankfurt Christmas market and is the largest of its kind outside of Germany and Austria. As well as a wide variety of Christmas goods on offer there are copious supplies of gluwein and heated snacks on sale to keep out the cold!
