The mill-owner's house. Ellar Carr Mill was built at the beginning of the 19th century by Joseph Harrison, a cotton spinner. Edward Craven, an architect from Hull (probably no relation to the photo submitter!) lived here later. The mill itself was converted around 2000 to residential accommodation.
