There is a cluster of old and newish dwellings in this small valley above the bay of Hescwm or Aberbach near Dinas. The orange Crocosmia, or Montbretia, seen in the foreground is very commonly found growing semi-wild in the coastal area as a garden escape. Originating in Africa, it is somewhat invasive but brightens up many a neglected patch in late summer.
