This would be so dull and unremarkable if this road were not marked on the OS maps as a bridleway (it is really just look). If you look carefully the road sign has a picture of a horse on it and the lamp post in the centre of the picture has a green "bridleway" sign. Just be careful that your horse isn't run over by a lorry. The OS map shows this area as "works".
