This was the home and garden of Sir Frederick Gibberd from the 1950s until his death in 1984. Gibberd, a renowned architect and town planner was responsible for Harlow New Town and many notable post-war developments such as Liverpool Metropolitan cathedral. He collected sculptures which he deployed to dramatic effect throughout his garden.
