A very grand carving above the front door of the Post Office on St Vincent Street. The motto at the top reads "In Defence". "Nemo me impune lacessit" is the Latin motto of the Order of the Thistle. It translates in English to "No-one provokes me with impunity", or in Scots to "Wha daur meddle wi' me". I think I prefer the Scots version.
