Looking south towards the A71 [Gorgie Road], with a new or refurbished office building to the left. Just visible behind it is the old Stenhope House (Stenhouse Castle). It was built in 1623, probably by one of the Stenhope family, who held the land of Stennap Milnes or Stenhouse Mills from 1511 to 1621, and which was a few yards further up the Water of Leith.
