A bronze statue of Guglielmo Marconi, Father of Wireless, near the Civic Centre, in Marconi Plaza, Chelmsford. The sculptor was Stephen Hicklin who commented: "I took the hand gesture which projects the lightning bolt which is really the idea of the transmission into the ether." Also see: Image Image
