According to the English Heritage listing the house on the left was built in the late 16C, and given a higher roof to accommodate upstairs rooms in the 17C. The bay at the right-hand end was added in the 20C – well done, as the extension is not at all obvious. The house on the right was built in the 17C, with the odd-looking two storey extension added in the 19C.
