The nearest stone at St. Lawrence the Martyr in Aldfield is inscribed with, "Beneath are interred the bodies of the three infant sons of William and Hannah Plees, Ripon." The stone was presumably carved following the death of sons one or two because the word 'three'was a later insertion.
