Scargill House: the old house

The house was built in the 19th century around an 18th century farm building Image and purchased by the Holdsworth family in 1900. From 1959 to 2008 it was a Christian holiday and conference centre run by a resident community and during that time several extensions were built (see other photos for this square). At the time of submission the property was for sale and its future unknown, but it reopened a couple of years later under new management.
